Reproduction print of the original landscape oil painting by American painter Asher Brown Durand (1796-1886) based on the poem of the same name by William Cullen Bryant. “Thanatopsis” is the Greek word for “view of death” and if you look closely, you’ll see a funeral scene included in the serene landscape.
Standard Frames: Each high-resolution image is printed in-house with archival quality ink on matte canvas, board-mounted, then treated with a special varnish to give it a more authentic oil painting look. Each work is custom framed in our shop, and the back is finished with craft paper and a sawtooth hook or wire hanger.
Decorative Boxes: Depending on box choice, the print may be framed behind glass on the box top OR printed directly on the top of the box
