These trunks represent a period of time that is rich in United States’ history. The year was 1861, the start of the Civil War. The 9-1/2″ trunk displays 34 stars. The 7″ trunk displays 33 stars, and is a replica of the Fort Sumter flag that flew when it surrendered to the Confederates in 1861. Great gift for history buffs, display, or storage for small items.
