How are orders packed and protected for shipping?
All artwork is wrapped individually, using bubble wrap and cardboard corners for larger items. Most other items come in their original box with molded styrofoam or bubble wrap for protection. Orders of multiple items will be shipped together with shredded newspaper for added padding. The recycled newspaper is purchased from our local rescue mission as a donation to support their outreach efforts, then shredded in our shop.We do not use Styrofoam peanuts.
All artwork is hand made in our small family-owned shop in East Berlin, Pennsylvania. Most other products, including wood, brass, iron, and more, are made in India at our partner manufacturing facilities from our original designs. Our reproduction porcelain tea sets are made in China.
We are the exclusive designers of 90% of our products. If we do not manufacture the item ourselves, we direct our overseas partner manufacturers using our design in the production process.
Why don’t you sell unframed prints?
At Schooner Bay, we strive to provide high quality, affordable framed art that will immediately and easily fill a unique space in the modern or traditional home. With 15 different, unique solid wood and resin frame styles, we make it easy for you to purchase art that will suit your needs.
Many of our wall art designs are printed on canvas to simulate the authentic look of the original print. With today’s technology, there are many other places to find downloadable or unframed prints. We prefer the “complete package.”
